How to access and align with our services

Any one is able to access our services provided they meet the following criteria:

  1. Be peaceful, respectful, kind and courteous to all who volunteer at and/or others who access services from the HUB, at all times, so that it remains a safe place to share.
  2. Anyone aggressive, violent or intoxicated will be asked to leave and if necessary authorities will be involved.
  3. Each area below holds the boundary of step one and two above and have their own specifications listed below.


Food & Kitchen Pantry

This is similar to a foodbank, where foods can be accessed either free or at very low cost.  The aim is to have frozen foods, non-perishables, fresh foods, other food related items and toiletries available for those who may need them. These goods have been donated to share with those who wish to collaborate with our service.

Youth Clothing Exchange & Bed apparel

This is similar to a library exchange to support families to reduce the cost to clothe their children, and it also supports the environment, as we exchange excess clothes without excess manufacture.  These goods have been donated to share with those who wish to collaborate with our service.

1.  Step one & two above
2.  Cost is $5 per youth to access the service in each area of exchange.  Eg $5 for clothing & $5 for books, would be $10 per youth access both areas.
3.  The amount of clothing brought in is the amount of clothing that is able to be taken out. E.g. bring in a jacket, pants and a shirt, you can take out a jacket, pants and a shirt or of similar. This also applies to books.
4.  Bring in a size that is not longer suitable for your child and you exchange for a size that is suitable.
5.  Clothing must be washed and in good condition, (no holes, not stretched or soiled) before exchange, as we do not have the funding or facilities to wash before going on to the shelf.
6.  If items are considered not good quality, these items can be donated for the free section, this will have no cost to do so and does not qualify for an exchange.
7.  When stocks are in excess some clothing items and books may be offered for sale.
8.  All bed apparel will be sold there is no exchange on these items.  

Sharing with Friends casual drop in

This is similar to a social group, for 18 and older, those who wish to connect with others in a safe, peaceful, respectable and compassionate space. It is a casual drop in where people can access hot drinks of tea/coffee /cacao/water and lemon, either dairy or non dairy milk.  This aim of this space is to reduce isolation, and increase connectiveness and joy of hearts.

1.  Step one & two above.
2.  All hot drinks are $2 each.
3.  The area, is available from 10am to 4pm.
4.  It is advisable that you bring your own mozzie repellant and if needed sunscreen.
5.  Chairs are provided.
6.  This area does not have trained mental health staff or volunteers and therefore it is not intended to replace other mental health supports.
